A free AI job search agent that does the work and leaves Submit to you

Hirabo is a free AI job search agent for software engineers, data people and new grads. It finds jobs that fit your resume, scores each one, tailors your resume, writes the cover letter, finds the recruiter and hiring manager, and fills in the application form for you to check. You use it in your browser at app.hirabo.com. There is no paid tier and no account.

What the agent does, in one paragraph

Most AI job tools charge a monthly fee to apply to jobs in bulk on your behalf. Hirabo is the opposite trade. It is free, it works through your search one job at a time, and everything it writes is checked against your resume before you see it. It fills each application, then waits for you to read it and press Submit.

How the free AI job search agent works

The search runs in five steps. At each one an agent does the work, and you check the result before moving on.

  1. Read your resume

Upload a PDF, Word file or text. It is parsed in your browser, and an application profile (name, contact details, work authorization) is pulled out for you to check.

  2. Find and rank jobs

The job pipeline agent searches many sources at once, removes duplicates, filters by location, remote region and age, and ranks what is left by how well your resume fits. The AI model re-scores the top results and says why.

  3. Tailor the resume for one job

The resume optimizer rewrites one section at a time and shows every change next to the original. It is told never to invent facts, and a rewrite that adds a number your resume did not have is thrown out.

  4. Find who to contact and draft the outreach

The cold email agent finds the recruiter and hiring manager from public pages and drafts a short email to each. It never sends anything.

  5. Fill the application, then hand it back

The apply agent opens the employer's form in its own browser, fills what it can, lists the questions only you can answer, and shows a screenshot. Nothing is sent until you press Submit.

What it can do today

A free AI job matching tool that shows its working

Every job gets a 0 to 100 match score built from six criteria: role and title, skills and tools, responsibilities, seniority, years of experience and location. Each criterion shows its own score, how confident it is, and the terms that matched or are missing. Scoring needs no model call, so it gives the same answer twice. A job in a country you can't work in is capped at 40, so it never ranks as a good fit.

Search across the places tech jobs are posted

Sources include company career boards on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, the free Remotive, RemoteOK, Arbeitnow and Jobicy APIs, USAJobs and Adzuna with a free key, and Indeed and LinkedIn search results at modest volumes. The results say how many jobs each source returned.

A free AI resume to job matcher and keyword optimizer

The keyword optimizer lists the terms a posting asks for that your resume has and lacks. You tick only the missing ones that are true for you, and they are added for that job alone. Keywords come from the text about the job, not the “About us” or legal boilerplate, and other spellings count as the same skill (K8s is Kubernetes, Golang is Go).

Cover letters and cold emails that quote your resume

The cover letter agent writes 180 to 280 words for one job. The email agent drafts one message to the recruiter and one to the hiring manager. Both are checked after writing: a draft that mentions a skill or number your resume does not contain is replaced with a template that only quotes your resume. Email addresses found on a page are marked as published; any guessed address is labelled unverified.

A free AI job application assistant that leaves Submit to you

The apply agent fills forms on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby directly, and follows the Apply button on other career sites, including multi-step forms. It uploads your resume, answers what your profile covers, and drafts short answers to written questions for you to review. Demographic and consent questions are left blank unless you answer them yourself. It stops at CAPTCHAs, logins and bot checks rather than trying to get past them, and it refuses LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter, whose terms forbid automated applications.

A dry run on a Lever form: fields filled, one required question left for you, and a CAPTCHA the agent won't pass.

An AI job search copilot, free, in a chat

A small model that runs inside your browser (Qwen 2.5 1.5B by default) can drive all of the above from a chat: “find remote backend jobs”, “tailor my resume for job 2”, “who should I email?”. It picks the agent to run and sums up the result. It can't submit an application; only the Submit button can.

Why it's free, and what the catch isn't

Hirabo is free. There is no paid tier, no trial and no account, and you never enter a credit card. Open the app and start with your resume.

Where your resume goes

A tool with access to your resume should say exactly where that data goes:

Frequently asked questions

What is an agentic job search tool?

It is software where AI agents carry out the steps of a job search for you, such as finding jobs, tailoring a resume and filling an application, and decide what to do at each step rather than filling one template. In this tool each agent does one job and you approve the result before the next step.

Is there a free AI tool that applies to jobs for me?

Hirabo fills job application forms for free. It prepares the application and shows you what it filled; you press Submit. It does not send applications in bulk on its own.

How do I automate job applications for free?

Open Hirabo, upload your resume, search for jobs, and let the apply agent fill each form in a headless browser. Review its answers, fill in what it left for you, then submit. There is no paid tier, so there is nothing to pay for.

What is the best free AI job search tool with no credit card?

It depends on what you need. If you want a hosted app, most tools have a limited free plan and a paid tier. If you want no paid tier at all, Hirabo is free with no account or card.

Can AI apply to jobs on my behalf?

Technically yes, and some services submit hundreds of applications for you. This tool deliberately stops short: it fills the form and leaves the final Submit to you, and it stops at CAPTCHAs and logins.

Is it safe to let an AI agent apply to jobs for me?

It is safer when you review every application before it is sent. Mass auto-apply risks sending wrong or invented answers under your name. Here nothing is sent without your click.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Hirabo is a web app, so it runs in your browser with nothing to install and no account to create.
